This policy explains what personal data Serva collects, why, and your rights. WebBliss Technology Solutions and Consulting Limited is the data controller. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number, password (stored encrypted), and business name for hosts and vendors.
- Verification (hosts and vendors): ID details and bank account details, used to confirm who you are and pay you.
- Orders: tickets you buy, amounts, and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment partner, not by us.
- What you post: event details, photos, videos, music, voice notes, chat messages and reviews.
- Device and usage: IP address, browser, pages viewed, and cookies that keep you logged in.
Why we use it
- To run your account and deliver tickets, QR access cards and receipts.
- To pay hosts and vendors and to stop fraud.
- To send messages about your orders and events by email, WhatsApp or in-app notifications.
- To send updates and offers. You can turn these off at any time.
- To improve Serva and fix problems.
Who we share it with
- The event host: when you buy a ticket or RSVP, the host sees your name, email, phone number and ticket details so they can run the event and check you in.
- Service providers: payment (Paystack), email and WhatsApp delivery, and hosting. They only use your data to provide their service to us.
- The law: when we are legally required to, or to protect people from harm or fraud.
We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Order and payment records are kept for up to 6 years for tax and legal reasons. Memories and chat messages stay until you or the host delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
We use encryption, access controls and secure payment partners to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your settings (such as dark mode) and understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but some parts of Serva may stop working.
Children
Serva is not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. Important changes will be shared by email or on the site.
